Nice. Florida sells you out when you get a traffic ticket

Nice. Florida sells you out when you get a traffic ticket

I don’t know how this works but apparently when you get a ticket in Tampa (and it wasn.t even a moving violation that was issued), all sorts of businesses designed to make money off your mistake are alerted to move in for the kill. traffic schools, attorneys…. Nice. 🙄

  1. Although it’s not foolproof (internet) Canada has protection of privacy laws. Just this morning I was renewing some insurance and the agent handed me a piece of paper disclosing what they would use my personal info (address and phone number etc.) for and stating that they would not disclose it to 3rd parties.

But Florida has Walt Disney World, so it’s more or less a draw. 😀

  2. Maybe they should have just put it up on a billboard to get it to everyone! Ridiculous!

My favorite was when I was in CA with the kids for hockey. I get home and three weeks later I get a $50 ticket in the mail for (apparently) parking slightly crooked in my parking spot. How in hell can argue that 3 weeks after the fact. My word vs their word equals me a loser. I wonder if rental cars are their usual target. It really changed my opinion of California. (We are much nicer here in Alaska).
